Workforce Development & Agricultural Education

Agricultural Career Education

With a shrinking workforce driven by demographic trends and a longterm decline in farm families, developing a strong pipeline of skilled agricultural workers is essential for the future of the agricultural industry.

The Lancaster County Agriculture Council supports this effort by partnering with traditional agricultural education programs like the National FFA Organization and 4H, while also collaborating with the PA Commission for Agricultural Education Excellence and Workforce Development organizations. Together, these partnerships broaden access to agricultural career information and encourage exploration among young people.
